As the Duchy Helpers COVID-19 helpline has been thankfully quiet for some weeks now, we will be suspending the service unless we go back into a lockdown situation.

The Duchy Helpers were able to support 30 local households during the period from March 18th, with volunteers helping with everything from supermarket shopping to prescription collections. We hope this service has been of help to you and that you have met some new friendly faces who live locally.

Please feel free to contact the following if you need local help or support with essential needs:

Duchy Residents Association on [email protected]
St Wilfrid’s church at [email protected] or 01423 504629 (follow services and information about what is going on in the parish hall at www.stwilfrid.org)
Supporting Older People on 01423 531490
HELP (Harrogate Easier Living Project) on 01423 813090

If you are suffering with stress or anxiety related to the Coronavirus outbreak, speak to a specialist support worker at Hear to Help – 01423 856799

We are leaving it to the discretion of volunteers and recipients of help to stay in touch if both parties are happy to do that.

It has been a pleasure to work with you in such difficult circumstances, we hope that the Duchy Helpers has been helpful for you, and it has helped people make new connections in our community.
